Communications Committee Member The Communications Committee is responsible for managing the chapter’s online presence. Key duties include maintaining the chapter website, contributing to social media with positive and engaging content, and creating and sending out newsletters to keep members informed and connected. Philanthropy Committee Member The Philanthropy Committee focuses on supporting local causes and the Penn State community through fundraising efforts and volunteer initiatives. Key responsibilities include organizing fundraising campaigns, planning volunteer days, and identifying opportunities to give back to both the university and the Asheville area. Events/Social Committee Member The Events/Social Committee is responsible for planning, setting up, and executing a variety of for the chapter. This includes organizing annual picnics, football watch parties, and monthly Thursday happy hours. Committee members work together to create fun, engaging events that bring the local Penn State community together.
